Mike Butler

Mike joined the NARENCO team in September 2020 as Director of Operations & Maintenance. His background includes over 30 years of O&M experience. Mike started his career as an IUOE Local 94 Building Engineer in NYC, performing various building O&M responsibilities. He expanded his O&M knowledge and capabilities as a Stationary Engineer in industrial power plants utilizing coal, fuel oil & natural gas technologies. Mike was also cross trained as a Maintenance Electrician / Instrumentation & Controls Technician.

In 2011, Mike had the opportunity to lead the newly forming solar operations group for Duke Energy Renewables, a commercial business entity of Duke Energy. After successfully leading that group for 7 years, Mike joined the solar operations team at Terraform Power where he spent two years as a Regional Operations Manager. In joining NARENCO, Mike has added valuable experience in organizational leadership with a focus on continuous improvement in all areas of Operations, Maintenance & Construction.

Mike graduated from Indiana Wesleyan University in 2011 with a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration. He completed his MBA in Finance at Wingate University in December 2020.
